Leadership Oconee County is a 10-month program to foster future leaders and increase their knowledge of Oconee County.

History of Leadership Oconee County

Sponsored by the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce, The School District of Oconee County and community leaders, LOC launched in 2006. The program provides participants the opportunity to explore all the facets of Oconee County and develop an increased awareness of and provide a rationale for involvement in current issues, opportunities and problems affecting Oconee County.

Tuition for the 10 month program is $600 per person ($500 for Oconee County Chamber members), which covers the costs for the retreat, meetings, materials, speakers and meals.  Tuition is typically covered by the participant's employer; however some individuals may choose to participate and pay their own tuition.  Scholarships are made available to a select few, based on need.
