March 16th from 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Oconee History Museum  (864) 638-2224)

123 Browns Square Dr., Walhalla  29691

Join us for a compelling lecture featuring the history of the Blue Ridge Railroad.

Dr. Jim Johnson has spent nearly 20 years exploring, documenting, and photographing the history of the Blue Ridge Railroad. He has hiked the right-of-ways, and explored the tunnels, and trestles, and river pilings that once were critical for this venture. The story of the Blue Ridge Railroad is a fascinating history of mechanical ingenuity, financial mismanagement, and sheer human will power.

Dr. Johnson will be selling and signing the NEWLY REVISED edition of his book A History of the Blue Ridge Rail Road.

The Program is FREE, but donations are gladly accepted.
